Dedicated to Lord Sree Rama, this temple is one of the few major temples in Kerala that venerates Sree Rama as the principal deity. The temple is believed to be over 400 years old and is renowned for its intricate wooden carvings, copper-sheeted roof, and traditional Kerala architecture.

The sanctum sanctorum houses an idol of Lord Rama in a standing posture, holding a bow, accompanied by his faithful brother Lakshmana, wife Sita, and devotee Hanuman, all carved with exceptional artistry. The temple is a spiritual and cultural center, hosting annual festivals like Rama Navami and other traditional rituals with great devotion. Surrounded by serene natural beauty and tall trees, the temple provides a peaceful setting for prayer and meditation. The name “Brass Pagoda” originates from the copper plates that adorn its roof, adding to the temple's unique charm. Thiruvangad Sree Ramaswamy Temple is not only a sacred pilgrimage destination but also a fine example of Malabar’s rich heritage and devotion to Lord Rama.
